This is the quilt I'm working on for my first grandchild, due in early November. It's a Kaffe Fassett pattern, made from his fabrics. It's very colorful and bright, but not pastels, just as my son and daughter-in-law requested.
~When finally the last carols have floated away into the starry darkness, the last good night has been said, the last wrapped package laid under a shining tree, there comes a small, quiet enclosure of time for every person to be alone with Christmas. ~ A Farmwife's Almanac of Country Living by Rachel Peden
I am a wife, the mother of four grown sons, and nana to five grandchildren. I work part-time as a librarian/ archivist at a university library. I enjoy knitting socks, hats, mittens and other items for charity, reading, hand quilting, growing old-fashioned flowers, and bird watching.
